If you are studying law, or if you simply have an interest in a certain case or needs to read up on something, then you may need to find a law library in your local area that you can go to for research purposes. While much of your work may be able to be done online, and the law section of any library should provide you with plenty of research material that could be of great help.

In order to find a library that may provide you with all of the research materials that you need you should first get in touch with the local council. They should provide you with a list of all of the libraries in the local area and will be able to let you know whether not they have a significant law section.

You can also do this by going on the Internet. Simply use your search engine in order to find all of the libraries within a certain vicinity of where you live. You can then call each one of them up one by one and ask about their law section. It may be that they have exactly what you are looking for.

There may also be some specific libraries that are designed only to provide law reference materials. For example, if you go to the local college or university then you may find that there is a specific law library set up there. Ask if you can use any of their books for research purposes.

If you don't find exactly what you are looking for then you will need to continue your search elsewhere. Perhaps you will need to go a little bit further afield to find a specific reference materials that you require. You may also be able to order books from a library further away from you if necessary.
